Every business faces unique challenges. That's why I've developed a unique business coaching model. Before explaining my approach to business coaching, let me explain what I am NOT. I'm not an Executive Coach, although I have done executive coaching, my primary focus is on assisting small business owners. I am not a Business Consultant. These are experts in a specific business sector. Consultants tell you what you should be doing. Consulting generally misses the objective due to a lack of follow up, accountability and behavior modification.

I take a much different approach from even traditional Business Coaches in that, I do very little work by phone. In case you've never worked with a Business Coach, here's how it usually works. Your business may be located in south Texas, but you have a business coach in California. Through phone calls and tele-conferencing, you receive what I call "blue-print" coaching. That is, the coach teaches you what he or she was taught to teach you. They will teach your competitor the same things, even though you face a different set of problems.

My approach is face to face. I don't work with companies 1,000 miles away. I work only with a very limited number of local small businesses. I never want to have more than a handful of clients at one time. It is important to me to develop an intimate relationship with you and your business. That's the only way we can work together to develop processes and solutions that will work for your business. 

Sure, I could cut corners and do much of my coaching by phone. I could easily fit in many more clients and charge higher rates, but that's just not what I'm all about. I'm all about building lasting relationships. I'm all about helping you move to a higher level. 

My Program

So here's what I do. Initially, we will meet at your business for a no cost consultation. This is just an opportunity for us to get to know each other. It's important to know that we are a good fit for each other. During this meeting, we will look at where your business is today and determine where you want your business to go. If we mutually agree to work together on your business, we will schedule a start date.

Typically, the first month, I will spend two days with you and/or your staff. During this time I will be evaluating many different aspects of your business and just getting a feel for the problems you are facing or simply the areas you want to focus on. This will allow me to develop specific strategies for your business. It will take from 1 - 2 weeks to develop an action plan, at which time we will meet to discuss implementing. Your business will receive a follow up visit for 1/2 day each month to monitor progress and introduce other solutions and processes. 

You will find this unique approach to coaching is most effective. By spending time at your company, I actually see what you see. By getting a feel for the culture you have created, I'm not just giving you text book answers, I'm working with you and your staff to develop workable solutions. 

By spreading the coaching program out for a minimum of 1 year, together we are able to monitor results and fine tune processes as needed. This also makes monthly fees affordable for even small businesses just getting started.
